What you’ll learn

Five core units, taught together from the very beginning. You don’t need any experience to start.

Practical Reflexology

The heart of the course. Learn how reflexology works and how to give a full treatment, including hand reflexology. You are assessed on 3 observed client treatments.

Anatomy & Pathologies

Understand how the body’s systems work together, how stress affects them, and the common conditions your clients may have.

Specific Techniques

Techniques developed over thousands of treatments in the Three Shires clinic, and taught exclusively here.

Client Case Studies

Bring it all together by treating real clients and writing up your case studies as your skills grow.

Practice Management

The legal and business side of working for yourself, with practical ideas from running a busy reflexology clinic.

And also…

Facial zone therapy, energy and chakras, and an introduction to nutrition.

“An amazing time in my life… this is without a doubt one of the best things I have ever done for myself!”

Georgina Petrucci · Three Shires graduate

Is this course for me?

You don’t need to know anything about reflexology to start. If you’re curious, caring and want to learn a hands-on skill, you’re who we teach.

Worth knowing first

Questions we’re often asked

Short, honest answers. Can’t see yours? Ask us below.

Do I need any experience?

No. Most of our students have never studied reflexology or any complementary therapy. We start from the very beginning and teach you everything step by step.

How many hours a week will it take?

You attend 16 class days (9.30am to 5pm approx.), then practise and write up case studies in between. Most students manage this alongside work or family life.

Can I do it alongside a job or family?

Yes. Classes are at weekends, so many students work full or part time. Spreading the course over about 10 to 11 months makes it manageable.

How long does it take to qualify?

Classes run over about 10 to 11 months. You then have time to complete your case studies before your external assessment.

What does it cost in total?

The course fee is £2,550, the accreditation fee is £160, and your La Fuma chair and protective carry bag are £170. You will also need a few items such as books, towels and white clothing. A £250 booking fee reserves your place and will be deducted from your course fee.

Is the £250 booking fee refundable?

The booking fee will be deducted from your course fee and is non-refundable unless the course is cancelled.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. We tailor payments to fit around you, so just ask. For example, you could pay the remaining £2,300 course fee on your first day, or pay a £500 deposit on your first day followed by 12 monthly payments of £150. The £160 accreditation fee and £170 chair are paid on your first day. Need something different? Tell us what works for you and we can sort out a plan together.

Is there an exam?

No exam. Your progress is assessed both internally and externally throughout the course.

What qualification do I get, and is it recognised?

You will qualify with the Professional Reflexology Diploma in Clinical Reflexology (PRD). It is fully recognised. When you are qualified, we recommend taking out insurance, available through the Professional Reflexology Association members scheme.

Will I be able to earn a living?

Many of our graduates build a practice of their own, work in clinics or add reflexology to an existing career. We help you with your business development during the course, your tutor will always be there to help after you qualify, and our association, Professional Reflexology, has a whole business section with ideas and support for growing a reflexology practice.

What if I miss a class?

We all know things can happen unexpectedly. Just have a word with your tutor as early as you can and they will arrange the best way for you to make up the time.

Where are the classes held?

We have three venues:

  • Warwick: Holiday Inn Express Warwick, Stratford Road, Warwick CV34 6TW
  • Milton Keynes: Holiday Inn Express, Eastlake Park, Tongwell Street, Fox Milne, Milton Keynes MK15 0YA
  • Kettering: Holiday Inn Express Kettering, Weekley Wood Avenue, Kettering NN14 1UD

All venues are close to motorway and major road networks for easy access from across Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Milton Keynes and surrounding counties.

How many students are in each group?

Our groups are small — typically 6 to 8 students — with a low student-to-tutor ratio, so you get personal guidance and hands-on support throughout your training.

What equipment do I need?

Your La Fuma chair and protective carry bag (£170) will be ready for you at the venue on your first day. We will discuss your resources at interview, and you will receive a full list after payment of the booking fee.

What can I do once I have qualified?

You can set up your own practice (many graduates work from home or rent a room), work in a clinic or spa, or add reflexology to an existing career. Insurance is available through the Professional Reflexology Association members scheme, and your tutor is always there to support you after you qualify.

Can I ask questions before I apply?

We recommend that you do! You can use the form below, email us at learn@threeshiresreflexology.com or call us on 01858 575 410. There is no pressure and no commitment. We can also arrange for you to chat with your tutor if you wish.
