The Professional Reflexology Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology

We train our students at this level because all of the core units and elements which comprise the qualification have been specifically written for reflexology by reflexologists, and designed to develop the highest level of practical expertise, and an intimate knowledge of what are, to the Professional Reflexologist, the most relevant tenets of reflexology

PRINCIPAL MARTYN FINKE PRM EXPLAINS HOW OUR COURSE WORKS:

After an informal chat for us to find out about you and explain how our reflexology course works, we ask you to complete your application. On induction day you start hands-on training, (you actually begin treatments on day one!)  You learn a basic treatment over a shorter time than at other schools; it’s intense, but it means we can develop your practical ability to a greater extent further along. We don’t teach unit-by-unit, we take you on a logical developing journey,  discovering how all parts of the course (both practical & theory), fit together to make you a confident and competent therapist; Three Shires it is not just a question of gaining a qualification. You will have tutor & school support throughout this journey and beyond if you should need us.

THE CORE UNITS OF OUR COURSE

Practical Reflexology

A large unit with element running throughout the course. It includes the tenets and theories of reflexology. Its history, how it works, how we interact with, and help our clients professionally. How to refer, (and to who.)  Plus, you will hone those important practical skills, including hand reflexology, always aided by your experienced tutor. There are also 3 observed client practical assessments as part of the unit.

A&P + Pathologies

Like all units, this is designed specifically for those who want to study Reflexology professionally. You will learn how the body systems work and are interdependent, and how you use this knowledge to benefit your client. You will research common conditions, (pathologies). Homeostasis, (internal regulation and balance), forms part of this unit, as does a studying the affects of stress on the body.

PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

Here you will study the legal and professional requirements of running your own business. Cash flows and business plans form part of this unit. These help you to plan your future, but at Three Shires, in addition to the core unit, we are also able to give you ideas and methods that we have used in building and running what proved to be the busiest reflexology clinic in Central UK

Specific Techniques

Unique to Three Shires are our specialist techniques created over thousands of treatments given in our clinic. We discuss, trial and refine an approach to treating a condition. Only when satisfied with the results, do we pass this new technique on to our students.

CLIENT CASE STUDIES

This unit is where all those skills you are learning come together as you carry out a series of case studies on clients. These are recorded and written to specific criteria which evolves with you as you develop your practical ability, and your knowledge grows.

...PLUS WE ALSO TEACH

In addition we add: Facial zone therapy, energy and its use in practice, understanding chakras, introduction to nutrition, plus business ideas for the real world. The course gives you so many relevant skills and insights that you will be fully equipped to comfortably step into practice on completion!
